Is the Jaspersoft ETL job scheduler feature available in the community edition?

Hi all

I downloaded jaspersoft ETL, designed a job in linux ubuntu 10 and now need it to run daily at 2000hrs.

I opened the scheduler, clicked on the + to add a new job, chose a job, the default settings, the times and added the entry. I then saved the file.

Then next step was to copy the contents of the save file to /etc/crontab and saving the file.

The job did not run as scheduled. Am I missing anything?

Also if I schedule 5 jobs, the first job settings appears in the contents of the generated file, the 1st and 2nd job settings appear in the second generated file, the 1st 2nd and 3rd job settings appear in the 3rd file, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th job settings appear in the 4th file. Again the 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th job settings appear in the file.

My second question is: Do I copy the contents of the last file only to the crontab configuration of my unix system since all the previous files contain basically the same information?

I have to extract 28 tables from MS SQL Server 2000 using jaspersoft etl, transfrom them and load them onto a Mysql database. The question is:

Does this mean creating 28 jobs? This I know how to do.

Or can I extract them in one job? If so how?

Database connection "CHECK" command button disabled

I am using:

"Jaspersoft ETL Pro" Version: 4.1.2 Build id: r53616-20110106-0658 on

X86 laptop running Microsoft Windows XP Professional Ver 5.1.2600 SP3 Build 2600

I am using Jaspersoft ETL for the first time.

Steps followed:

I created a new project and am trying to create a database connection in Metadata to connect to a remote SQL Server 2008 DB.

I choose/enter:

Name: devSTAGE

Status: Development

DB Type: Microsoft SQL Server

Password: abc

Server: [IP address of the server running the MS SQL 2008 database]

Port: 1433

Database: STAGE

CHECK command button is not enabled and clicking on FINISH also does not take me anywhere.

How can I fix this?

Hello!

Could someone pls tell me if there is some component in JasperETL that could run a local/remote script of any kind (or, if not, what kind of scripts)? More exactly, I want this component to read connection details of many (say, more then 100 000) FTP servers from a script/file, connect to those servers and get data of specified format into an input file in my job...

Running subjobs in parallel (multithread execution)

Could someone pls tell me how can I make more completely independent flows/threads execute in parrallel in JasperETL Pro 4.1? Is there some setting I have to make for execution? Because the two independent flows I have execute one after another, not in the same time.

Hello Dear Experts,

I try to connect the JasperETL to Oracle database . The JasperETL component that I used for connection with Orace database is the tOracleConnection_i. I suspect that I typ wrong parameters in the tab Compnent. For this reason is JasperETL unable to get any connection with Oracle database. The Oracle database is installed locally on my PC. That's why I specified the following parameters:
